Towers and canvases of the wall of Benasal
The walls were raised with the first settlement in the area. The enclosure was composed of seven towers and five portals, of which, unfortunately, only three towers remain. The so-called Presó Tower, with its square base, housed a jail and a dungeon. The tower d'En Garcés, walls and the nearby Redona tower, a cylindrical construction, remain in good condition. Close by, can be found the Mola portal, its horseshoe shaped Arabic - Christian arch is unique in the northern part of the Valencian Community.
